Christian songwriter and recording artist, Venus Laney, is one such anointed and purified vessel; severed unto the Lord. Life transforming experiences in the Holy of Holies compel her to beckon the listener to that place of intimacy, reconciliation, and wholeness; bringing each the ultimate freedom to live and worship El Shaddai.
A native of West Virginia, she juggles her call to evangelize with marriage and motherhood as well as the music, women, & youth ministries at her home church, Tazewell Family Worship Center. Venus and her husband Mike are blessed with 2 children, Jacob and Ella. Venus recently took her music and ministry beyond the US borders with her first international gospel crusade with evangelist Amy Lambert. Her time in Kenya only increased the fire of God within as well as her desire to see the will of God released on this earth.
The music of this singing evangelist is eclectic in style and inherently Christ-centered. About her recently released 2nd CD, "Journey to the Secret Place", she writes " The message and title of each song is reflective of the journey through the tabernacle, as portrayed in the Old Testament: entering the gate, we pass through the outer court of praise and as we ascribe greatness to the Lord, burdens are lifted off! We stop at the laver of cleansing, approach the brazen altar of obedience and sacrifice and experience divine protection under the shadow of His wings. We then enter the Holy of Holies, where God's awesome presence is manifested!"
